The Presentation of Our Lord: Eucharist, 7:00 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 2
Come to the Eucharist which celebrates the presentation of the infant Jesus in the Temple 40 days after his birth, and his encounter with Simeon and Anna. Also called "Candlemas," this festival traditionally is one where candles used in the next year are blessed. Bring a candle from home to be blessed at this Eucharist celebrating our Lord's light shed upon all nations. |

Watanabe Prints
A series of prints of works by the famed Japanese printmaker Sadao Watanabe (1913-1996) will be on display in the Chapel Lounge during the month of February. Watanabe used Japan's folk art style to depict Biblical scenes and themes. He preferred his pieces to hang "where ordinary people gather" as a reflection of Jesus' gospel ministry.
