Following second service on Sunday, May 7, 2006,
Mount Olive members marched through the
neighborhood as part of the annual Heart of the Beast May Day parade,
an affirming celebration of community in urban Minneapolis. Carrying our homemade
banner, members enjoyed an opportunity to demonstrate our
congregation's healing presence in our neighborhood.
Lining up before the parade begins.
Following
our group in the parade line-up, the Kalpulli Ketzalcoatlicue
Dancers kept up a joyful beat as we marched along Bloomington
Avenue.
Pastor Heisley joined us en route after finishing his Sunday
morning duties.
