Mount Olive held its first Vigil of Pentecost
on May 14, 2005. The liturgy of prayer, music and scripture
meditations was held to prepare participants for the Feast
of Pentecost, calling upon the Holy Spirit to be present in
our lives, and celebrating the birth of the church.
The Pentecost window in the north transcept was decorated
with red candles, providing a place of meditation for those
wishing to pray before and after the service.
The baptismal font was also ringed with red
candles.
