It is our baptism that makes us followers of Jesus. Yet, many people choose to strengthen their faith by formally joining a community such as Mount Olive.
Here is how we think about membership.
Members have formally joined the congregation by affirming their baptism and committing to work here for Christ’s mission.
Many frequent and occasional attendees aren’t members but want to be part of our caring for one another and our work in the world. These friends and guests are welcome to serve in any way they like, although only members can vote at congregational meetings and serve as elected officers.
If you are interested in our faith community, worship with us and walk with the people of Mount Olive for a while. There will be no pressure to formally join. If and when you are ready to join, you will be warmly welcomed.
