The Louise Schroedel Memorial Library is a small, high-quality library with resources for all ages and a focus on timeless theology.
It supports the ministries of Mount Olive and serves the spiritual, educational, and recreational needs of the congregation’s members, friends, and neighbors.
Our Legacy
We are proud to carry on the legacy of Louise Schroedel and Leanna Kloempken.
Louise, the wife of Mount Olive pastor Theophil Schroedel (1921–62), was dedicated to education, and in the 1940s and 1950s she lent her personal books to anyone who wanted to read them. Upon her death, the Schroedel family gifted four thousand dollars to establish a more permanent and professional library in the church.
